How do I register & enrol?
Simply click the Enrol button on the page of the course you want to enrol in.
Our online enrolment system only takes credit cards as payment, and all credit card transactions attract a 0.5% surcharge. If you need to pay by other methods, please fill out the Short Courses Enrolment Form.
Once you have clicked the Enrol button, you will be taken to the Short Course Enrolment Page:
- If you have a login with us, log in on the left hand side of the screen and click Login and you’ll go through to the payment page.
- If you don’t have a login with us, or not quite sure, fill in the details on the right-hand side and click Register. If you have an account already, you’ll be re-directed to reset your password. If not, you’ll go through to the payment page.
Registering an account with the National Art School speeds up future enrolment processes, and allows us to easily communicate with you about any updates/changes to the course you have enrolled in.
If you do not want to register an account with us, please fill out the Short Courses Enrolment Form.
Please note that all non-credit card enrolment payments must be submitted via the Short Courses Enrolment Form
Enrolments are not confirmed unless you have received an enrolment confirmation.
Online enrolments receive this to the registered email as soon as full payment is processed.
There may however be a delay in processing enrolments submitted via the Short Courses Enrolment Form. NAS cannot take responsibility for any enrolments via this method that miss out on a place.
Although an enrolment is secured once a receipt is issued, course confirmation is subject to adequate subscription and other factors see Terms & Conditions of Enrolment for more details.
How do I pay?
The National accepts the following methods of payment for Short Course Enrolments:
- Visa, MasterCard
- Visa Debit, MasterCard Debit
- American Express
- Money Orders
- Valid NAS Short Course Gift Vouchers (available for purchase through a section of the Enrolment Form)
The National Art School does not accept cash as a payment method.
Discounts and Payment
Enrolment in a National Art School Short Course is dependent upon full payment of the relevant fee.
Early enrolment discounts are available on regular fees. These discounts expire on set dates for each program as follows:
Winter School 4 June 2018
Term Three 18 June 2018
Spring Weekend Workshops 20 August 2018
Term Four 10 September 2018
Concession pricing is available to holders of a current Centrelink concession card, a NSW travel concession as defined by Transport or NSW, or are Alumni of NAS as defined:
"Graduates of the NAS holding a degree, diploma or certificate of the NAS, including graduates of the art department of East Sydney Technical College, Sydney Technical College and Alexander Mackie College of Advanced Education (between 1975-1977); and former students who have successfully completed at least one year of full-time study on any of the award courses included above."
Eligible concession card holders must bring their proof of eligibility to their first class, or if an Alumni, our Alumni Coordinator will check for your eligibility in our system prior to your first class.
Concession card holders and Alumni are also entitled to a further discount via the Early fee from Winter School 2016 onwards.

What is a Term/School/Workshop?
National Art School Short Courses are arranged into programs, namely:
Terms There are four terms in each calendar year and classes are usually held once a week over several weeks.
Schools There are two Schools each year, Summer School, and Winter School. Schools are run on a full-time intensive basis with classes taken for full days Monday-Friday.
Weekend Workshops Taken full-time over a weekend, weekend workshops are an opportunity for students to introduce themselves into an art practice, increase their existing skills quickly, or add a supplementary skill to a longer Short Course they have studied with us.
Do I need to do anything before the Course?
Please check the page for your course to see if there’s any pre-reading or materials you will need to buy for your first class.
We may contact you prior to your course to provide further information and requirements.
Where are classes held?
There is no student parking on campus. If you have special parking requirements, please contact the Public Programs Office via firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the commencement of the course.
All classes are held on the grounds of the National Art School, easily accessible by public transport.
