Melbourne-based artist Callum Morton is the Guest Curator of this year’s Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize on view at NAS Gallery from Tuesday 28 March. Morton won the prize in 2013 and his selections for this year's exhibition include a number of artists whose practices are wholly or in part collaborative. He is also interested in artists who have a connection to a younger generation through teaching.

Callum Morton is a highly regarded artist who has exhibited nationally and internationally since 1990. In 2007 he was one of three artists to represent Australia at the Venice Biennale. His major works include Hotel (2008) on Melbourne's Eastlink Freeway; the pavilion Grotto (2009), which he designed for the Fundament Foundation in the Netherlands, and a major outdoor commission for the new premises of Monash University Art Museum in Melbourne.

Callum Morton is also Head of the Art Department at Monash University. In his Art Forum lecture, Callum Morton speaks about his art work and also his approach to the role of Guest Curator for the 2017 Redlands Konica Minolta Art Prize.
