Aboriginal Art Centre Internships

Wednesday 11 October
1-2pm Black Theatre

Each year, with the generous support of our donors Sharon Tofler and Mark Tedeschi AM QC, the National Art School is able to provide two ten week internships at Aboriginal Art Centres in the Northern Territory, at Ikuntji Artists nears Haasts Bluff and at Tapatjatjaka Arts at Titjikala. These internships provide graduating students with an opportunity to acquire practical arts management experience and training in an active Aboriginal community art centre environment. Interns have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with artists and day-to-day arts centre operations.

Before you apply for the 2017 internships, come to this Art Forum featuring the 2017 interns, Anerleigh Simms (BFA Printmaking 2016) and Sarah Eddowes (MFA Painting 2016). Hear about their experiences in working in a new environment, and ask them any questions you might have about undertaking the internship.

Sarah Eddowes worked at Ikuntji Artists near Haasts Bluff, and Anerleigh Simms worked at Tapatjatjaka Arts at Titjikala.
